Intensity selection of laser pointer

I recommend putting a drop of oil, gun oil, etc. on the tail cap threads as it helps remove a lot. I have absolutely no problem turning this 300mW high power laser pointer in and out. This useless pocket clip was decommissioned for about a year simply because it was just acting as a stand. The laser pointer 200mW has an impressive focus. The firing pin is pulled out, changing the distance of the magnifying glass. You can control wide variations in spot size. Or maybe the ratio refers to the ratio of power output per unit area, but there are no units on the chart to give you a clue. Again, without instructions, it's not obvious how to switch between modes. As shown, the green laser pointer comes with a translucent plastic tube. Doesn't seem to fit anywhere. Maybe it's designed to hold the cable, but if so it's not obvious how to make it work.

I have this laser pointer just as an emergency EDC in case the lights go out for a long time or the room breaks down in the middle of the night on the dark side of the highway; but most importantly...it's the cat's job when he's out and about and with me "Camp bath time" for my 2 year old son. Overall, I am very happy with this 50mW laser pointer. In fact, I bought another one shortly after my first purchase. The strobe function is very confusing. It has fairly fast cycle times and is also suitable for signage. The belt or pocket clips rotate around the body of the green laser pointer and are removable, so over time this could cause scratches, but so far I haven't. I was initially concerned that it would accidentally open in my pocket, but the switch has enough resistance that it needs to be pressed hard on purpose to activate it. The laser pointer is fine, nothing fancy. I call it average quality. Not very well done, but not trash either.
