The use of laser Pointers of different colors
Several manufacturers are now selling bundled diode blue laser Pointers with measured outputs over 1,500 MW. However, since the power claimed by the "laser pointer" product also includes infrared power (DPSS technology only), the beam is still present (for reasons described below), so blue is fully visible to DPSS. There are still problems with lasers based on combination types, information is often not available. By using DPSS modules optimized for high order harmonic neodymium and low frequency doubling conversion efficiency, the ratio of 473 IR power conversion to nm blue lasers is typically 10-13%, which is about the same as typical values for green lasers.
