Low cost laser pointer

These things are no exception. My task was to find an alternative to a low cost high power laser pointer that could withstand the abuse I could pass on and survive. The packaging is light, yet hard and sturdy. Flash can be useful in defensive situations if you can get it to work. In this mode, I need to make multiple attempts to drop the laser. The battery life seems to be great as I haven't replaced the battery yet, and it's been with me on many trips with average usage. It has three light settings: hard, strobe and low beam.

My biggest complaint is the cheap leather case. It looks like it's doing a lot better than it is now. The belt loop is thin; it allows the 3000mW laser to be raised, actually larger than my work belt, allowing it to move a little or have some tilt. I'm not as skinny as I used to be and this feature can be annoying. So far, I think this is the biggest deal ever. So non-cheap green laser pointer are very disappointing. I'm not used to its grooves. I don't like putting my thumb on them.
