Recommendations for calibrating the laser pointer
I pointed this out last night from the back door on the hill behind my house. I feel like a stormtrooper. I would recommend it for use with a gun during the day, or you can use it at night for stargazing thanks to its power. First, the sidecars and rail hooks alone are worth the cost of the project. I use it to tune my blue laser on a stripped lower/upper M4 build. I want something that helps me understand my aim/impact high power laser pointer for close range shots up to 50 yards and beyond. Now I know where to keep instead of guessing and wasting ammo. I can't comment on the remote accuracy (100+ yards), but for what I'm using it for, it works fine.

To calibrate the laser pointer, I recommend:
1. Lock the weapon firmly in place. I use a portable vice.
2. Install it using the popular pergola. make it safe.
3. Aim the weapon at the desired aiming distance.
4. Screw the switch fully in - a few turns to activate the laser pointer.
5. Place a marker on the wall centered on that point.
6. Slowly turn the laser/switch counterclockwise.
7. Observe the travel of the stitches.
8. Stop at 6:00. It should only take one turn. check carefully.
9. You can now adapt the weapon to the laser pointer.
I thought I got a laser sight that I could put in my shotgun and start seeing my range. It's not like most other laser pointers I've used. Hope this helps you decide if this is right for you. Unfortunately I lost the battery cover as it came loose in my bag. I hope to find it again. For example, you can get completely different results by simply rotating the enclosure 180 degrees in the room. Do you need a 20mW green laser pointer? Marking the locking cap is useless as it may not be screwed on the same every time. Then I plug them into the laser. I read another reviewer explaining how to use this device and said that when inserted, it allows to release its bolts.
